Report from a survey of 600 respondents from 6 markets, aged 16-74. We show what games would look like if they were created by the players: what genres, settings and historical periods they would choose. We report which mythologies or cultural contexts they would consider as the most attractive. We provide information on player-preferred story types (based on The Seven Basic Plots by C. Booker) and protagonist archetypes (based on The Hero and The Outlaw by M. Mark & C. Pearson).
